History

The District was created by the Texas Water Rights Commission (now the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (the “Commission”)) on November 25, 1975, and the District contains approximately 438 acres of land located in southwest Harris County just west of State Highway 6 (SH6) approximately 22 miles west of the central business district of the City of Houston, Texas. Bellaire Boulevard and Alief-Clodine Road form the southern and northern boundaries of the District, respectively, and the District is bisected north and south by Addicks-Clodine Road. The District lies entirely within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Houston.
